Brief Description:
This seminar will cover survival issues that may arise after completing a water landing whether it be on the ocean, river or lake. The presentation will also address emergency landings into a field or forest. During such an emergency landing, the prime directive is to survive the landing, followed by possessing the knowledge and skills to endure the elements you may encounter after surviving the landing.

To provide you with the knowledge and skills needed for a possible emergency landing in unfavorable conditions, this presentation is proud to introduce Lieutenant Commander Scott Barton of the United States Coast Guard. Commander Barton will instruct you regarding survival techniques.  

Scott is a MH-65C Instructor Pilot/Flight Examiner and graduate of the Army's Survival Evasion Resistance Escape (SERE) level 1 course.  He is a Rotary Wing and Fixed Wing Multi Engine Certified Flight Instrument Instructor (CFII) with over 5500 flight hours. 

In addition to Commander Barton, an aviation survival technician (AST) who is a United States Coast Guard Rescue Swimmer and survival instructor will be available to answer your questions.
