Brief Description:
Full-Day Safety Workshop for all helicopter pilots and operators in Alaska presented by the FAA Safety Team, Helicopter Association International (HAI), IHST and local industry experts. Topics include important local issues affecting Alaska pilots, best practices, educational outreach, and initiatives to mitigate accidents. The workshop will also serve as a forum for pilots to discuss current issues facing the helicopter industry, and will give attendees the opportunity to voice their input to HAI and the FAA. Doors and registration open at 9:00am, the Workshop starts at 9:30am and will run until 4:00pm. Pre-registration is not required but recommended. HAI will provide coffee in the morning, and a deli-style lunch in the afternoon for all attendees. Numerous handouts and safety materials will be available.
