The
FAASTeam CFI Workshops provide an opportunity for Flight Instructors, Designated Pilot Examiners, and Aviation Safety Inspectors to meet and collaborate for safety.
FAASTeam CFI Workshops are planned in cycles. A cycle takes 24 months to complete and consist of 8 quarterly workshop events. Workshops include a module of instruction and a time period for CFIs and DPEs to interact and learn from each other. CFIs that meet the minimum participation in all 8 workshops within a cycle are eligible to renew their Flight Instructor Certificate. A person who attends any
FAASTeam CFI Workshop, held at any location, will receive nationally recognized credit for that workshop.
After the completion of a workshop cycle (Workshops #1 through #8), including all required Core Topics, the
FAASTeam CFI workshop cycle will repeat, beginning with Workshop #1. Airmen may begin on any date at any Workshop. Those CFIs who attend Workshops #1 through #8 in any order will be considered to have completed a Workshop cycle. An individual who has attended and participated in a complete FAASTeam CFI Workshop cycle, covering all required Core Topics, may be eligible for renewal of a non-expired CFI certificate. Attendees will be supplied with documents that attest to his/her FAASTeam CFI Workshop attendance. That document must be presented at the time of Flight Instructor Certificate renewal.
At this Workshop, we'll cover Takeoff / Landings / Low Altitude Maneuvering and Aircraft Operational Limitations.Core Topic #11 Takeoff / Landings / Low Altitude Maneuvering
-
Takeoff and landing related accidents

Skills needed for low altitude maneuvering

PILOT AIRSPACE DEVIATIONS CONTINUE TO BE A MAJOR RISK IN THE NATIONAL AIRSPACE SYSTEM TO REDUCE THE CHANCE THAT YOU MIGHT BE INVOLVED IN AN AIRSPACE DEVIATION INCIDENT, YOU ARE HIGHLY ENCOURAGED TO TAKE AN ON-LINE LEARNING CENTER COURSE ON faasafety.gov OR SEARCH THE LEARNING CENTER LIBRARY FOR ASSOCIATED GUIDANCE ON AIRSPACE INCURSIONS. REMEMBER, SAFE AND PRUDENT AIRMEN HAVE SUPERIOR SITUATIONAL AWARENESS, AND HAVE A PLAN TO KEEP IT THAT WAY!
