Attend this important briefing to evaluate two fascinating discussions of Aeronautical Decision Making and real-world outcomes.

Maryland State Police (MSP) Pilot Mike DeRuggiero will discuss the investigation of the September 28th crash of Trooper 2, which occurred on approach to Andrews Air Force base, killing four people aboard.  His analysis of the accident chain (sometimes called the "swiss cheese" theory of causation) will be informative and sobering.  Trooper DeRuggiero was the principal MSP investigator on this accident, and he serves on the MSP Quality Assurance/Risk Management Team.

JJ Greenway will present "Successful Outcomes To In-flight Decisions", detailing cases where the chain of events was broken in time to prevent an accident.  Mr. Greenway is the Chief Flight Instructor and Safety Director for the AOPA Air Safety Foundation.  Formerly a Boeing 767 Captain and Check Airman for American Airlines, he has been an active Flight Instructor for 29 years.

Special thanks to Hemingway's restaurant, who will be providing a discount for lunch following the seminars.

In the event of inclement weather, registered participants will receive an e-mail notification on Friday evening.
