Our sincere thanks to the Washington Aviation Association for providing the facility for this meeting.
FAASTeam CFI Workshops provide an opportunity for Flight Instructors, Ground Instructors, Designated Pilot Examiners and the FAA Safety Team (FAAST) to meet and collaborate for safety. The result is the ability to enhance communication and standardization of the pilot training and evaluation processes. Our mutual goal is aviation safety. This goal is well served when we are able to combine our resources, talent and information to target areas of pilot skills or knowledge that accident statistics and causal factors suggest are weak. Together as a Team the Instructors and Designated Pilot Examiners will combine extensive knowledge with sound judgement to provide the most comprehensive pilot training followed by reliable and effective evalutation.
FAASTeam CFI Workshops are planned in cycles. A cycle takes 24 months to complete. A cycle consists of 8 quarterly workshop events. Workshops include a module of instruction and a time period for CFIs and DPEs to interact and learn from each other. Each workshop should not exceed 3 hours.
Entry fee to the NW Aviation Conference and Trade Show is $5.00.
Commercial pilots working on their CFI are also invited to attend the workshops.
