Runway incursions pose a significant but unnecessary risk for pilots and their passengers. This program will help General Aviation Plots recognize common pitfalls, avoid runway incursions and prevent accidents. We are fortunate to have Darla Richter as our presenter to bring her personal experiences and expertise of 24-years as Buffalo Niagara International Airport Air Traffic Controller and Supervisor.
Darla is SEL &MEL & Seaplane CFII, an aircraft owner and was an FAA Safety Counselor for more than 25-years.
The second half of our program will feature Eric Hathaway, VP of Sales for Xerion Avionix to describe new thinking in the area of aircraft engine monitoring transition into true engine management implementations. The new tools provide for precise engine operation and its effects on pilot workload will be reviewed. The company set out to eliminate the need for multiple information sources to accomplish this intensive task.
Rollie Zavada will also provide a brief update on the FAA WINGS pilot proficiency program.
This event is sponsored by Boshart Enterprises and has generously donated door prizes and refreshments. Don't miss it!
