Title:
Cross Wind Takeoff and Landings
Topic:
This review of proper Cross Wind techniques might just prevent that unhappy landing during Springtime winds!
Date and Time:
Saturday, March 1, 2008, starting at 10:00 Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Beverly Cleair, FAAST Team Representative, and Guests
Brief Description:

While it is usually preferable to take off directly into the wind whenever possible or practical, there will be many instances when circumstances or judgment will indicate otherwise.  Likewise, many runways or landing areas are such that landings must be made while the wind is blowing across rather than parallel to the landing direction.  All pilots should be prepared to cope with these situations when they arise.  This seminar will review how to control your aircraft in those windy situations.
