Brief Description:
Complete a phase of Wings before the rules change! Flight training is provided in your aircraft (rentals are also available) by volunteer (free) flight instructors. Seminars are offered on a variety of topics including flight planning, decision making, maintenance and IFR operations by a variety of speakers. See the attached PDF file for details. Coles County Airport is located about 1 mile east of I-57 at the Illinois Hwy 16 exit. It is between the towns of Mattoon and Charleston on Illinois Hwy 16. This exit is approximately 1 hour south of the Champaign-Urbana area on I-57.

This is a two day program. Flight instructors will be available to provide free flight training in your aircraft to meet the requirements of Wings according to AC 61-91H. Seminars will also be conducted on a variety of topics on both days. Please download the attached PDF file for a list of seminar speakers, topics and times.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are available both days for a nominal charge, in the hangar. Parking for cars and aircraft is available. Lodging is available, with transportation provided to and from the airport. Details of events and lodging are available in the attached PDF file.
If you intend to receive flight instruction, please use the form in the attached PDF document to pre-register. Registration is available at the event, but pre-registering saves you time and helps us plan.
